Recap from ,” Winning at the Great Game” from Adam Robinson with Shane Parrish

How to learn, How to fail, and his three secrets of Happiness and Success.

The three secrets of Happiness and Success.

1/ The real magic is CONNECTING with people. If you want to achieve something in the world, aim at creating a vision for others through your presence, imagination, and your vision.

2/ Create FUN and DELIGHT for people. The way you engage with people adds value to your life. Creating fun is a game, through which people want to be around you and experience the joy in your presence.

3/ LEANING into each moment and experiencing the flow of life. Involve in every moment you encounter to feel the presence of oneself.

“To think of great ideas is to look where no one else looks.’

@IAmAdamRobinson lived his life in the world of ideas, his success in the world of business and career comes through the WORLD OF IDEAS. The great game of life is played through reflecting and implementing these ideas.

Technology is designed to get us to respond, and the way to do that is to heighten emotions and hijack attention, and it does so with ferocious efficiency and its unrelenting.

Technology is an energy-guzzling confirmation bias engine. It doesn’t make you informed, it just reflects the world you see or what you expect to see.

If you have any kind of feelings like fear, frustration, or loneliness. It’s time to redirect your attention and find yourself in others. Learning to control your attention and directing it either on the task or others, can change the way you look at the world.

Two ways to change someone’s thinking: Change the question asked or offer them an inspired answer.

It is hard to change your view with too much information, reducing the complexity of information allows you to reason easily. Thinking is listening to our unconsciousness, the great insights come from listening to the unconscious.

Happiness is something that catches us by surprise. Surprises tell us the model of the world is incorrect and provides a learning opportunity. “Happiness cannot be pursued; it must ensue.” ― Viktor E. Frankl, Man’s search for meaning

“Successful investing is anticipating the anticipations of others.” – John Maynard Keynes The market is a mission created by the minds of individuals; it is an expression of the view of the future.

Success is the result of your hard work, not intelligence. Work hard at something that changes your identity, improves your thinking, and enhances learning opportunities.

People with Drive, belief, and a little pessimism tend to improve as a matter of choice. A great lesson for young children is to model struggling and model staying with struggle, without giving up.

If you’re having trouble with what you’re doing, if you’re not getting the results you want, then change what you’re doing, detach and use an experimental approach by trying different things until you find something that works.

The key to learning any skill is to break it down into sub-skills and rehearse it.

Learn one thing really well and then you can learn anything.

Play the game of life to Connect, Love and Lean in every moment through learning the content of life that enhances the quality of living.
